Frequently Asked Questions
What is DNA Jewelry?
DNA Jewelry is a unique way to preserve your most cherished memories. Our skilled artisan will create a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece using inclusions such as preserved breast milk, ashes, hair, and other sentimental items. We take great care in handling each inclusion which is then set into liquid resin, hardens into a gem and is then crafted into a beautiful piece of jewelry you can treasure forever.

How do I place my order?
Step 1: Choose your design
Browse through the online store, Facebook page or if you have a specific design in mind, send us an email! You can place your order directly through the website. If you are not finding a piece that catches your eye, or if you have a specific vision in mind, please contact me! I love creating custom orders and can usually find a way to accommodate most requests.
Step 2: Choose and send your inclusions
You can use any inclusion you like! I have worked with breast milk, loved one's ashes, pet ashes, locks of hair, pet fur, dried flower petals, umbilical cords, encapsulated placenta, soil (from a gravesite), sand, pregnancy test, fabric, and have even done pieces without any inclusions at all!
If you have a request for an inclusion not listed, just ask! I am open to working with any material!
There are 2 ways to send your inclusions to me.
-
First, I do offer collection kits for an additional $10. This kit is mailed to you at the time of your purchase and includes detailed instructions, a leak-proof container (or bag) and pre-paid return mailer to return your inclusions to me.
-
If you choose to not add the kit, you are responsible for shipping (or dropping off if local) your inclusions to me. For breast milk or ashes please double bag and mail in a bubble/padded envelope. For other inclusions like umbilical cords or hair, please place on a piece of paper or paper towel and mail in a bubble/padded envelope.
Step 3: Receive your order!
Once I receive your order, your custom jewelry setting will be ordered from my supplier to your exact specifications. Once I receive your inclusions and setting I will create your keepsake and then mail it (with tracking) to you.

Absolutely! I can combine milk from multiple children into one piece. I can also use each child's milk to create individual stones in pieces with more than one stone space available. Please make sure you have left detailed instructions in the "special instructions" section of the order form. Make sure you include which milk you would like where (ex 1st child center stone, 2nd child eternity band) and which additions, if any, go with which milk.
If you need assistance please don't hesitate to send me an email!

How do I take care of my DNA jewelry?
You will receive a care card with your finished jewelry. DNA stones are softer than gemstone and do require a bit more care than some of your other jewelry.
-
While the stone is water resistant you do not want to submerge it in water. It's best to remove your jewelry prior to swimming, showering, sauna's or exercising.
-
Please keep your jewelry out of direct sunlight and heat, over time this could lead to discoloration of your stone.
-
Do not apply topical products such as hand sanitizer, lotions and creams, essential oils or household cleaning products
-
Its best to remove your DNA jewelry prior to doing heavy chores, cleaning, gardening, or at the beach where small particles could get stuck in the crevices of your jewelry.
-
When your not wearing you DNA piece, It's best to store it in a jewelry box in a cool, dry place.
-
Most metals, can and will, tarnish (blacken) over time due to oxidation. This can be easily cleaned with a polishing cloth
Can you repair my ring if the stone falls out?
I reinforce everything to try to ensure that stones do not become loose or fall out, unfortunately it can happen.
I offer free repairs (shipping not included) on all jewelry. I even store your preserved milk in case of events like this!
